SAHA MİHENK

NATIONAL AVIATION INDUSTRY COMMITTEE

SAHA Istanbul Started to Receive the Results of Its Long-Lasting Activities in the International arena

After the good news of the acceptance of SAHA Istanbul, and therefore the National Space Industry Committee SAHA MUEK within SAHA Istanbul, to the international space federation in Paris, we received another important good news for our National Aerospace Industry yesterday.

The work that SAHA Istanbul started 4 years ago at the European Aerospace Quality Group (EAQG) was successfully completed with the vote held in Zurich yesterday.

In 2017, the first result of the work initiated by SAHA Istanbul by establishing the National Aviation Industry Committee (SAHA MİHENK) and bringing together the relevant public institutions and platform manufacturer companies was received in 2021, and SAHA – MİHENK (National Aviation Industry Committee) was approved as Turkish Regional Management Structure (TR RMS) by the European Aerospace Quality Group EAQG OPMT, and Türkiye took its place in the EAQG as the 13th country through SAHA MİHENK.

In this way, the ability of TÜRKAK (Turkish Accreditation Agency) to accredit the certification authorities of our domestic companies that can establish AS9100 aviation qualification systems (Accreditation Body), which has been working for about one and a half years as a second stage achievement, was unanimously approved at the European Aerospace Quality Group (EAQG) General Assembly Meeting held in Zurich today.

As part of this process, TÜRK LOYDU, which is a candidate to be a certification body and audited Roketsan’s AS9100 installation under the supervision of EAQG through SAHA MİHENK, has been accredited by TÜRKAK as a certification body. Thus, TÜRK LOYDU became the first Turkish company authorised to issue AS9100 certificate.

In this context, ROKETSAN, the last link in the chain, became the first Turkish company to receive AS9100 certification by an accredited Turkish company.

In these studies, which SAHA Istanbul started 4 years ago and continued decisively, all the links of the chain were completed yesterday, and the Turkish Aviation Industry has opened an end-to-end area for quality systems. After this development, Türkiye’s system infrastructure is no different from Germany, France and the UK in terms of being a part of aviation quality systems and taking part in these studies. With the synergy created within SAHA MİHENK, the National Aviation Industry Committee of SAHA Istanbul, and the joint efforts of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the Ministry of National Defence, the Presidency of Defence Industries, the Turkish Accreditation Agency, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, the Turkish Standards Institute, and the companies TAI, Aselsan, Baykar, Roketsan, MKE, TEI, Havelsan, Turkish Technic, Kale Aero and Altınay, which came together for a common goal, this successful result has been achieved today.
